Stuart E. Parsons (M.Div., Western Seminary; S.T.M. and Ph.D., Dallas Theological Seminary) has taught Bible, ancient Greek, church history, and theology at Trinity College of Florida since 2006, and chairs the Bible and Theology Department. His scholarly specialty is early Christianity, especially early Christian use of Scripture. His publications include Ancient Apologetic Exegesis: Introducing and Recovering Theophilus’s World (Eugene: Pickwick; Cambridge: James Clarke, 2015) and articles in scholarly journals. He participates in the Society of Biblical Literature, the North American Patristics Society, the International Conference on Patristic Studies at Oxford University, and the International Association of Patristic Studies. He has also served through prison evangelism, preaching, and directing a church-based outreach to young adults. Before turning to theology, he earned degrees in engineering and computer science and worked fifteen years in corporate high-technology.
