Join us for the inauguration of the 10th President of Trinity College of Florida, Dr. Christopher Gates.
Dr. Gates has a long history with Trinity, dating back to his time as student beginning in 2008. He would go on to complete his bachelor’s degree in Christian ministry at TCF (2013) before relocating to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he completed two master’s degrees, (MA in biblical studies and ThM in theology) and ultimately earning a PhD in biblical interpretation (2021). Dr. Gates attributes his passion for the Word of God to his time spent in the classroom as a student at Trinity College.
Dr. Gates has an deep and abiding love for Trinity College that has been established throughout his 17 years of involvement, both as a student and faculty member. During this time the college has made a profound impact on Dr. Gates making him an ideal candidate to champion the school’s continued mission and to foster future growth.
Dr. Gates and his wife of 11 years, Angela, live in New Port Richey with their two young boys, Simon and Deacon. Together, they founded Mosaic Church NPR in 2021, where they faithfully serve the local body of Christ. Angela’s passion for prayer and worship partnered with Christopher’s desire to teach and preach the Word have made them a formidable team in the hands of God. They are eager to bring these passions to a greater level of service at Trinity College.
