Job description

The admissions representative assists with aspects of the admissions process with special emphasis on recruitment goals.

Remote: No, some in-state travel required



Job Responsibilities

  1. Works to achieve recruitment goals.
  2. Makes visits to secondary school guidance counselors and college advisors to promote the college and recruit potential students.
  3. Promotes the college and recruits students at off-campus site visits, events, college fairs, and conferences.
  4. Develops and maintains close working relationships with individuals or organizations which are influential in the college selection process.
  5. Advises prospective students on the college’s admissions process.
  6. Develops event evaluation reports to enhance recruitment strategies and operational efficiency.
  7. Assists in the development and maintenance of the admissions office event calendar.
  8. Performs general office duties, including but not limited to: data entry, mail and email correspondence, and tasks assigned by supervising personnel.
  9. Provides relevant communication to the Brand Ambassador for social media and website (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) 


General Requirements

  1. Must have a servant demeanor toward the work environment and be willing to participate collaboratively with all college employees.
  2. A bachelor’s degree.
  3. Significant customer service related experience.
  4. Strong interpersonal and writing skills including public speaking skills and the ability to present the college in a positive way to diverse populations.
  5. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  6. Must be proficient with office suite apps such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and Zoom.
  7. Exceptional communication skills, willing to listen, and respond carefully to internal and external clients. Be able to communicate the brand initiatives clearly.
  8. Ability to travel to remote locations and to load and transport admissions materials, displays, and other equipment 
  9. Occasional evening and weekend hours required, especially during peak season


Physical Requirements

  1. Must be able to lift 30lbs.
  2. Ability to sit and stand long periods of time.
  3. Ability to sit, kneel, and squat
  4. Ability to hear and see to interact with software applications, and customers both face to face and on electronic devices.
