Men's Soccer Coach Profile

George Arroyo comes to Trinity College of Florida with an extensive coaching background.  He has been the Director of Coaching at FC Tampa since the year 2000. George is also the Head Coach at Sickles High School. George was selected as the 2006 Western Conference “Coach of the Year” and the 2005 St. Pete Times “Coach of the Year”. 

George was an Assistant Coach at St. Leo University under Head Coach Tony Paris. “My experience coaching with Tony was amazing” Arroyo says. George had an opportunity to travel to Brazil to obtain his National “B” license.  In addition, his licenses include; NSCAA Advance National Diploma, National Diploma, Regional and State Diplomas, DOC Diploma, State and Regional GK Diplomas.

George received his undergraduate degree with honors at National Louis University in the field of Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice.  George also attained his Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University in 2007.

George has been happily married to his wife Melisa for 30 years.  Melisa and George have two child who are both active in sports.

George’s passion for soccer has been shared with hundreds of players but his passion for the Lord is first and foremost.  George states; “I am really excited and honored to coach at Trinity College.  The possibilities are endless and I give all the honor and glory to God.”

Robert Rivers III is known for his motivational coaching style and for understanding and developing each player’s specialized talents. Rivers started playing soccer at the age of 5 and was fortunate to have skilled coaches who taught him not only how to play the game but also how to communicate that knowledge to others. In addition to his work with club soccer teams, he is currently a youth club soccer coach and a member of the semi-pro Tampa Marauders. During his college career, he earned a National Championship at Southeastern University and numerous individual accolades, including Player of the Year and All American honors.
