The first thing you should know about me is this: Jesus came to save the lame, and I’m the lamest. Because of this, I am humbled, happy, and hopeful. I am…Christian – I affirm that Jesus is my Treasure & Savior. Protestant – I affirm the five “solas” of the Reformation. Evangelical – I believe the gospel (which is the original and truest meaning of “evangelical”). Confessional – I believe the historical creeds and confessions of the Church are the best expression of what we believe. Reformed – I affirm the doctrines of grace, known to some as Calvinism. Perfected and in Process – I affirm the perfection of Christ made my own through faith, yet equally affirm my own lack of and need for growth in personal holiness. Jesus is growing me into what I’ve been declared, righteous. I currently reside in New Port Richey, Florida where I serve as pastor to SonRise Community Church. My wife Holly and I love playing with our two sons Jack and Luke, watching movies, and being outside. Holly and I both attended and met at Valdosta State University, where she graduated with a degree in Economics and I graduated with a degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies. I have since gone on to receive my Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary.
