Church Ministries - Worship Emphasis

The Church Ministries major provides the student with the academic preparation necessary for ministry along with professional preparation in a particular area of ministry emphasis. Within the Church Ministries major students select an emphasis in Pastoral Ministry, Youth Ministry, or Worship Ministry.

The Worship Ministry Emphasis develops skills in the philosophy, theology and practice of worship all based on a strong Biblical foundation. The program helps students meet a need that is increasingly being felt in the church for people who can serve in worship ministries positions.

Students successfully completing this program will demonstrate:

1. Professional skills in pastoral relationships and leadership
2. Knowledge of the philosophical and theological foundations of worship
3. Practical ability in the development and implementation of worship in the local church.
